Hall of Remembrance (Memorial Tablet Hall)
Project Introduction
The project seeks to create and manage Hall of Remembrance (Memorial Tablet Hall) to commemorate and pay tribute to the victims of the overseas forced mobilization under Japanese occupation and console their bereaved families. The Foundation enshrines memorial tablets of the victims whose remains were scattered overseas and are unlikely to be repatriated in order to promote peace and establish a physical space for memorial. There are currently 1,093 memorial tablets laid in the National Memorial Museum of Forced Mobilization under Japanese Occupation for visitors, including the bereaved families, to remember the history of the victims of forced mobilization.
